Fire Alarm: Service/Repairs

Service
If any problems should arise with your system, and you have a
"trouble" light that starts flashing, or your system has been red tagged
or yellow tagged, we can find the problem and fix it for you. Many
times the problem will need something to be replaced like, a defective
device or damaged wires. Sometimes the problem is simpler like; a
device was not wired or put back together properly. We may not be
able to service some proprietary systems, so it is important to contact
our office and be certain that we can work on the system before
asking us to come out to your business or you may still be charged a
trip charge for our travel time. Replacement parts for proprietary
systems are usually more expensive, as well.

Repairs
We can repair any damaged systems or devices if the parts are
available. (Some systems may be too old to find compatible parts
and you may need to get an updated system instead.) Most
damaged devices or wires cannot be repaired and will need to be
replaced. We will try to repair what we can before we have to buy
any new parts.

Expanding Current System
We can add more devices to your current fire alarm system, without
completely replacing it if the parts are still available. (Some systems
may be too old to find compatible parts to replace defective devices or
to expand your current system. We will have to make sure the parts
are available before we can expand on your system.) We will add any
new fire rated wire, conduit, electrical boxes, and devices needed to
expand your current system. It is very important to check with your
authority having jurisdiction before these plans are made, due to local
fire alarm codes, grandfather laws and so forth.
