We offer many different fire alarm products and will install them for you.
We will make sure everything in your system is compatible and works properly.
Annunciators
This product is placed by the main entryway and mimics the Fire
Alarm Control Panel's (FACP) display for easy access to see any
status indicators. Many districts require one if the FACP is not
located near the front entryway, so the Fire Department can see
where the problem is when they enter the building.
Batteries
All Fire Alarm Control Panels and Power Supplies require backup
batteries so that if the power fails, the panels will still run and
support a Fire Alarm System. All batteries must be replaced every
four years!
Detectors
There are many different types of detectors we offer, such as:
photoelectric, ionization, thermal, and beam smoke detectors;
photoelectronic and ionization duct smoke detectors; and
mechanical heat detectors. If the building does not have a sprinkler
system, then detectors is one of the most important devices in
signaling a fire to the Fire Alarm Control Panel.
Monitor Modules
There are many different types of monitor modules that are used to
monitor many different devices on a fire alarm system. Modules can
monitor devices, such as: duct detectors, tamper and waterflow
switches on sprinkler systems, and air conditioning units. Some
modules only monitor the device and communicate to the panel if
information changes with the device; while other modules will
actually take an action towards the device it is monitoring.
Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP)
This panel is the main brain for the entire fire alarm system. All
devices, both initiating and notification, are hard wired to the
FACP and send and receive signals from these devices. Panels can
be addressable or conventional depending on the businesses need.
Addressable panels tell the individual exactly which device is having
trouble or has been set into alarm. Conventional panels can only tell
the individual which zone is having trouble or has been set into
alarm.
Power Supplies
This panel is a supplementary addition to the Fire Alarm Control
Panel (FACP). Any number of power supplies can be added to an
FACP to help monitor an increased number of devices.
Pull Stations
This is an initiating device that can only send a signal to the Fire
Alarm Control Panel if it is pulled by an individual. It cannot detect
a fire. Many businesses are required to have a pull station at every
door or exit.
Signs
We offer many different signs for your fire alarm system. Some
jurisdictions require particular signs for a fire alarm system.
Strobes/Horns/Bells
There are a multitude of different strobes. Different aspects will
vary, such as: wall or ceiling mounted, weather-proof or indoor only,
and with or without a horn. All strobes and horns have different
candelas that can be selected to comply with the fire marshal's
standards. Bells are typically located on the exterior of the building
to alarm the individuals outside.
Wire
We only use plenum rated FPLP shielded fire rated wire. We use
12, 14, 16, and 18 AWG gauge wire depending on the type of wire
needed for the job. In any new installation we tack up our wires to
prevent damage and problems for the customer in the future.
This is a list of our most commonly sold products. If you are
interested in a product that is not listed here, please call the office and
ask about it. We might still be able to install it for you.
Pull Station Covers
Pull station covers can come with or without an alarm that sounds
when pulled off before the pull station is pulled. In very public
places where the area is prone to vandalism, it might be a good idea
to purchase some pull station covers. Pull station covers prevent
false alarms. If the fire department is falsely called to a building too
many times, then the owner will be issued a fine. Some cities are
stricter than others; the amount of false alarms allowed before a
fine can vary from zero to three.
